Nguyen Khac Ngan Vi is a author, screenwriter, and journalist in Vietnam. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Nguyen Khac Ngan Vi was a cultural journalist for Thanh Nien Newspaper (2011-2016) and was recognized as a distinctive film critic and interviewer. In 2021, she successfully defended her master’s thesis in comparative literature at the School of Chinese Language and Literature, Fudan University (Shanghai, China) with the topic On Authorship in Tran Anh Hung’s Film Adaptations. A familiar short story writer, she published three consecutive novels: Virtual Women (2016), Gospel for One (2018), and The Myriad Colors of Emptiness (2022). These works have been well-received in academic community and are often studied for the feminist perspective. The Myriad Colors of Emptiness was nominated for the Young Author Award by the Writers’ Association in 2022. Additionally, she remains active in the film industry. The television series I Wish We Could Fly Together, written by Nguyen Khac Ngan Vi and directed by Phan Dang Di, which aired this year, has reached one billion views.
